Coaches offer their services at a significantly reduced and affordable rate. The minimal fees are paid by the individual or by a sponsoring organisation and are paid directly to the coach.
Only qualified coaches, who share Mirus values, are selected to participate, thus ensuring vital quality control.
Coaching takes place over the telephone (you will call the coach) with an option to have face-to-face sessions when geographically possible.
You will be offered a programme of 2 x 45 minute, regularly booked coaching sessions per month, for 3 months.
Soon after the initial contact we will give you a coach to contact to set up your first session.
We work with people who, like us are committed to fairness, justice, diversity, equality and tolerance.
We want to connect with social entrepreneurs and social leaders and activists who have a passion for their developing vision and who are committed to making it happen. We work with people who get up in the morning and are inspired to make the world a better place – people who are motivated to make a real difference to their community or the planet.
We want to work with people who demonstrate leadership qualities, are motivated, enterprising and ready to take responsibility for putting their purpose into action.
We are seeking individuals who will commit to the coaching process and who will benefit from working with a coach.
We understand that working in the field of social change can at times be challenging and also exhausting with little or no time to do things for yourself or with your family. Your stress levels go up, your work life balance can be seriously compromised, resulting in burn-out or ill health.
Your Mirus coach will acknowledge you and challenge you to new heights of effectiveness. Your coach is your positive support and your champion. We will work with you at any stage of developing your project or your enterprise, from the early days exploring an idea, to later stages of expansion.
We have identified these areas as significant in the life of a social leader (see the Wheel of Life) to see how you fare in these areas.
There are many ‘tools’ and questionnaires that can be used in conjunction with coaching to help the client develop insight and identify specific areas to focus on. MIRUS coaches are qualified in and familiar with many of these tools – below is a sample of some tools and what they offer to clients.
If you are interested in the additional insight one or other of these tools would give you then please contact us and we will match you up with a coach who is trained in its application and interpretation. Please note that there may be an additional charge for the administration of some of these questionnaires.

Belbin team roles |
Dr. Meredith Belbin’s work identified nine clusters of behaviour, termed Team Roles. Each Team Role has its particular strengths and allowable weaknesses, and each has an important contribution to make to a team. You can complete the Belbin® Self-Perception Inventory online which will give you an explanation of the various team role characteristics you display. http://www.belbin.com/ |
Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) |
The Myers Briggs Type Indicator® questionnaire explores your preferences in relation to 4 dimensions: how you get your energy, how you take in information, how you make decisions, and how you approach the world. It will give you information about your strengths and your preferred style of working and interacting with other people. |
Leadership Emotional Intelligence Profile Assessment (LEIPA) |
LEIPA is a 360° assessment tool which relates 20 emotional intelligence competencies to leadership. It helps you identify your strengths, the requirements of your role, and compares your competence in different leadership styles against the importance of those styles in your current role. The detailed assessment then helps you plan new actions to increase your options in dealing with other people. LEIPA can also be used with teams to enhance intra-team understanding and collaboration. |
| FIRO-B® (Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation - Behaviour) | FIRO-B®is a personality questionnaire which can help you to understand how you come across to others and how you expect others to act towards you.
